Our Story
SafeBite is made by people with severe food allergies, for people with allergies and dietary restrictions. Co-founder James Moffat has had a severe nut and sesame allergy his entire life which has made dining out extremely challenging.
Countless times he has experienced life-threatening anaphylactic reactions at restaurants and co-founder Chris Adolphe has witnessed the same scary incidents while dining out with his older brother.
Chris and James have chosen to tackle this issue because managing food allergies has not gotten any easier in the restaurant industry. The standard method puts the onus on customers to effectively communicate their allergies to the server.
This puts all the risk on the server in hopes that they don’t provide inaccurate information. We are sick of experiencing the same challenges while dining out and SafeBite is here to change this.
